Gettin’ antsy ta game!
It’s been a while since the Misfits were able to have a full-blown session - a couple of months, in fact. Granted, a few of us (GM included) were treated to a wonderful respite from this hiatus not long ago (which I mentioned briefly in a past post), but the whole gang has not been able to get our crazy schedules to synch up for quite some time now.
Hopefully, that will change very soon (perhaps this weekend). Now that school and work schedules have begun to settle back into a steady rhythm; after the ever-crazy influx of fall’s hectic routines upon summer’s lazy, unruffled days.
As such, I’m getting pretty antsy to get back into the saddle and see where the characters go in their current predicament. The current campaign is quite a bit ahead of the Story Hour as posted here, but I am considering writing up our last session (Session 13) as a “teaser” to let folks see how far we’ve come. Since Orri ran it as a one-shot, the session could easily stand alone, or act (as I’ve chosen to view it) as a part of the campaign history. Orri did such a great job of slipping it into the current storyline, that frankly it’d be a crime not to use it!
Regardless, you’ll be seeing a lot more campaign info going up here in the days ahead. Let me know what you think of it!
My college game group used to struggle with getting together regularly, especially after graduation.
My current group, though, has been meeting with very few interruptions since mid-1996. The day of the week we meet has adjusted over the years. Started on Thursdays, then moved to Wednesday and finally settling on Monday. It’s been on Monday night sinceI don’t remember…probably at least 3-4 years.
How? I think a big part of it is that I’m willing to meet and run with as few as 1 player (yup, me as GM and a single player). Sort of applying the “nothing draws a crowd like a crowd”.
Over the years, the makeup of the group has changed considerably. We usually have 3-6 players attending regularly, though.

PS Part of the reason for this post was to see if it would let me this time.
