Sometimes it’s HARD to play nice…
In the Word, we read:
“Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.”
-Ephesians 4:14-16 (New International Version), emphasis mine…
So, as Christians, we are to speak the truth in love. That is far easier than it sounds, especially when one blunders upon things that are meant to be demeaning to the faith. Still, if we want to be like Christ, it is the least we can do to bridle our tongues and speak kind words that resonate with the truth of his word. So, I’ll take a shot here in terms of the first comic. I’m not even going to touch that second comic with a 10 foot cattle-prod right now - talk about a whole ‘nother can of worms.
At the risk of getting sued or spoken harshly too, I’ve taken the liberty of changing the dialogue in just the last frame of this comic to let you know my perspective on the matter. I would consider my perspective to be that of most Christians, but by all means not an all-inclusive opinion. Each is entitled to their own…

Again, there’s no disrespect intended to the creator of the comic, but I just wanted to show how a few words can greatly change the message received by the masses. It saddens me that so many people discount creationism merely because they think themselves too educated to accept it (which is, by far and away, the intended message of the above comic’s original state). However, for those that feel this way, I ask a simple question:
What role in evolution do the human emotions of love and compassion play?
If one truly believes in evolution, then these emotions are incongruent with their worldview. Simply put, love and compassion - emotions felt by every human on the planet - have no logical place within the confines of a world crafted solely on evolution.
It is rare that I ever get on a soapbox, so let me put this blasted thing away…I’ll save it for another day, I guess.
